Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study which is the second in a series of longitudinal studies to investigate the use of communications technology and to contribute to the sparse literature on computer mediated communication. The context of the study is the audiographic system used by the Queensland Open Learning Network. Items and subscales investigated by the study include time/flexibility, interactivity, difficulty, learning environment and educational/cognitive values. The second phase of the research methodology has been extended to include focus group interviews, and elaborate on, some of the trends identified from the previous study.
