I don't disagree. The instant DE institutions or rather the new e-learning businesses that have sprung up because of the new market opportunities generated by the emergent technologies, would seem to particularly need a huge dose of the heritage of educational theoretical base and indeed, the mission of ODL. But there is no hard evidence by way of research that shows up that they are not doing things right, is there? Cheers. Maria
