Abstract of the seminar

The socioeconomic, political, cultural and geographical background of learners can influence their ability to learn through the use of different forms of technologies. This   includes factors such as affordability, availability, access and the unique pedagogical characteristics of the particular technological application, instructional objectives and financial resources available at the institution and  student  personal resources. This seminar will present a case study of the use of technology applications for student support and administrative systems at the Bangladesh Open University.
 

Brief biography of speaker

M..Monzur obtained his Honours and Masters degree in Management from the University of  Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He  has been serving  as Registrar at Bangladesh Open University since 14th October,1995. Before his joining at BOU he has served  three more conventional  universities in different capacities. His total job - experience is now about 22 years. He has a very special interest in writing articles on human resource development. After his joining at the BOU he has become fascinated in research in open learning and distance education.
