The College of
Full-time Studies is the home to some 31 degree programmes and two higher
diploma programmes catering primarily for senior secondary school leavers of the
17-20 age group.
The Ho Man Tin Campus
The Open University of Hong Kong’s Ho Man
Tin campus is the home base for the full-time programmes. The Ho Man Tin premises include two
12-storey academic buildings with all the teaching facilities: lecture theatres,
lecture halls, lecture rooms, seminar rooms, a library, computer laboratories,
an audio-visual production centre, nursing laboratories, science and engineering
laboratories, and language laboratories.
The campus also houses amenity facilities for
students, including a multi-purpose hall.
The Students’ Union and the thirty or so student societies holds regular
meetings, activities and functions on campus. Our students also participate in a
number of joint-university functions in Hong Kong. The University, through the Student
Affairs Office also offers support services to students: career development,
career services, counselling, and coordination of summer placement, internships,
scholarships and financial assistance, etc.
The Ho Man Tin campus has a canteen OU Club, and a food stall, The Noodles Bar (麵膳) . There is also a bank (Bank of
China). The Ho Man Tin campus also
has an extension in the nearby Ho Man Tin Plaza, with a number of lecture rooms
where some of the lectures and tutorials are held.
New Academic Structure under 334
In response to the curriculum reform in Hong Kong,
we have restructured our degree programmes in preparation for the New
Academic Structure under 334.
Starting from 2012,
students taking the HKDSE examination will seek for admission to the 4-year honours degree
programmes.
College Office
The offices of the College of Full-time Studies
are on Level 5 of Block C in the Ho Man Tin campus. We provide the following services to
prospective and continuing students: admission; enrolment and examination. We also act as the first point of
contact for full-time undergraduates on all matters relating to their
studies.
