為清楚說明不同程度的資歷水平、確保各項資歷的質素，以及為各程度的資歷提供銜接階梯，香港政府於2008年5月5日正式推出一個資歷架構，以整理主流教育、職業培訓和持續進修三方面的資歷。資歷名冊也同日啟用，供市民查閱。
資歷架構共分為七個資歷等級，訂明各項資歷持有人應該擁有的能力，使學員及僱主可以根據資歷等級訂定進修目標。院校可自願將課程申請納入資歷架構，在經過質素保證機制審核後，獲得資歷架構認可。
本院60多個證書和文憑課程已經納入資歷架構內，其餘正分批進行，而已納入資歷架構的課程的資歷級別及編號已在課程網頁標示，下表亦詳細列明各課程之資歷架構登記資料。詳情請瀏覽資歷架構網頁

In order to
provide a clearly comparable standards of different qualifications, the
Government launched on 5 May 2008 the Qualifications Framework (QF). The
QF in Hong Kong is a hierarchy designed to order and support
qualifications in the academic, vocational and continuing education
sectors.
Qualifications Framework is a seven-level framework. It sets out the
competences that qualification holders should possess. Education
providers can, on a voluntary basis, apply for registering its
programmes under the QF subject to a quality assurance assessment.
At LiPACE, the first batch of over 60 certificate / diploma programmes
have been registered under the QF. More works are underway. Those QF
registered programmes will have the QF Level and Registration Number
displayed in the programme webpage. You may also see the table below for
