• Degree or equivalent qualification with 4 years of working experience, including 2 years in occupational health and safety field.

In response to the growing demand for more qualified safety auditing professionals, LiPACE collaborates with the SGS Hong Kong Limited to launch this programme, "Professional Certificate in International Recognized Occupational Health and Safety System Auditing ", to people who want to be International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) Certified OHS System Lead Auditors.

Upon completion of the programme, students should be able to

• Recognize the principles of occupational health and safety in different working environments;
• Develop appropriate working techniques, skills and positive attitudes as required for IRCA Certified Lead Auditors;
• Advise the management to improve the health and safety performances in workplace according to relevant legislations;
• Plan effectively and conduct an audit of the occupational health and safety management and operation of an organization,
• Undertake follow-up necessary activities from audit report.

OHS practitioners who are interested in safety auditing or want to become IRCA Certified OHS System Lead Auditors.

• A comprehensive programme in safety auditing designed in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
• Taught by experts and experienced practitioners from both LiPACE and. SGS Hong Kong Limited

Students are required to pass both Continuous Assessment (in the form of assignments, case study and presentation, test etc.) and Examination in each course. The passing mark is 50%. Students are also required to fulfill an attendance rate of 70% for the programme.

• A “Professional Certificate in Internationally Recognized Occupational Health and Safety System Auditing” will be issued jointly by LiPACE and SGS Hong Kong Limited to those who successfully completed the whole programme.
• A “Certificate of Successful Completed in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Auditor / Lead Auditor Training” willbe issued by IRCA to those who successfully completed OSH4007EP.

IRCA : IRCA Certified OHS Management Systems Auditors/Lead Auditors: For those who successfully completed OSH4007EP, they can meet the training requirement to become IRCA Certified OHS Management Systems Auditors / Lead Auditors.

Exemptions are only granted up to a maximum of one course. Please see “Application for Exemptions” in the General Information section.
