Part-time Teaching Assistant (Computing) (Ref: 12-PTTA-136-J)
School of Science and Technology

 

Duties
The appointee(s) will be responsible for course delivery (including classroom teaching) in related disciplines at the undergraduate level.  Major duties include conducting tutorials/laboratories, marking assignments/examination scripts and performing other related teaching and administrative duties.  He/she will also be expected to provide assistance in course planning, development or to participate in School/University activities, where necessary.  The appointee(s) will be expected to conduct classes during daytime in the weekdays, and to make occasional day-trips to the mainland. 

Requirements
Applicants should have an Honours bachelor’s degree in computing, computer science, or a related discipline. Relevant professional/teaching experience is an added advantage. A good command of English and Chinese is required.

Terms of Employment
Appointment will initially be made on a part-time basis for a maximum of 17 hours per week. The appointee may be re-appointed on mutual consent.  Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions if applicable.
