Ways to register

At this point you should know quite a lot about the OUHK. We hope you're ready to take the next step and register as an OUHK student. You can complete your registration entirely online, or by filling out and submitting a hard-copy application form.

Online registration for new applicants/continuing students
Application by hard copy for new applicants and continuing students
  • Before you register. Make sure that you have read all the information about the programme and courses that you wish to take. If you have not, you can browse or search for OUHK programmes and courses here or consult the Programme Regulations . You should also check that you have fulfilled the entry requirements.

  • If you live overseas. You can still study with the OUHK. Find out more here .

  • If you are a student at a UGC or other institution. You can register concurrently with the OUHK. This may be against the policy of the other institution in question, however, so you should consult it before proceeding with us.

For more information

  • Information seminars. If you want to know more about OUHK's programmes or studying at the University, you are welcome to join the admission information seminars held from December to February (for the April semester) or from June to August (for the October semester). Please see the schedule for upcoming seminars.

  • Information Centre. If you have further enquiries, please phone or send an email to the OUHK's Information Centre.

After registering

After you've registered, you will need to get ready to begin your university study. You should start thinking about how you can best plan your time and effort in the days to come. The OUHK provides some tools to help you do this:

  • Learning OU Style. The next section of this website ( Learning OU Style) introduces you to studying at the OUHK and offers advice on how to be a successful distance learner.

  • Other resources on study skills. You can click here for links to several videos in Cantonese about effective distance learning strategies.
