Master of Arts in Applied English Linguistics

The Master of Arts in Applied English Linguistics programme will be offered from September onwards. The programme aims to develop in students a broad understanding of the systems of English, a general knowledge of the central issues in applied linguistics, the skills required for conducting research in applied linguistics and a critical awareness of the role of language in addressing real-world problems in different contexts such as education, translation and the legal sector.

The 60-credit programme will be delivered in the face-to-face study mode (one year full-time or two years part-time). It is open to Hong Kong and mainland students. The entry requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualifications. For enquiries about the programme, please contact Associate Professor (Language and Translation) Dr Emily Poon (Tel: (852) 2768 5710).
