A cappella concert

The Alumni Affairs Office of the Public Affairs Unit organized an a cappella concert on 28 November 2009 at the Serena Yang Lecture Theatre of the OUHK Homantin campus. The performers were from ‘Songbird’, which was founded by ten former members of the Hong Kong Children's Choir last year. The group sang a number of well-known songs without instrumental accompaniment, in the presence of 200 alumni. The concert and the annual calendar card donation appeal raised over $180,000 for the ‘Alumni Scholarship and Bursary Fund’. The amount will be matched 100% by Drs Richard Charles & Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation.
