Former OUHK Director Gajaraj Dhanarajan ('Raj' to friends
and colleagues) received one of the highest federal awards
in Malaysia from the king Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the occasion
of his Majesty's official birthday on 2 June. The award Panglima
Setia Mahkota (PSM) carries the title 'Tan Sri', and is conferred
on citizens who have contributed outstandingly and meritoriously
to the country. With this award Raj is officially addressed
as 'Tan Sri Dato' Emeritus Professor Gajaraj Dhanarajan' while
his wife Sue carries the title 'Puan Sri Datin'. Raj is now
the Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of Wawasan
Open University in Malaysia.
