Full-time programmes of the School of Science and Technology

Acting Dean:
Prof. Ho Kin-chung
Only one-third of the full-time students of the School are Secondary 7 graduates, and most of the rest have higher qualifications such as an Associate Degree or a diploma -- a clear indication of the popularity of the School as a bridge to top-up degree qualifications. 'For some programmes, Higher Diploma graduates from the Institute of Vocational Education or other institutions are required to complete only one year of intensive studies to get a degree. Most have found their studies here quite demanding but also fruitful. We hope to cultivate in our students an interest in the quest for scientific truths through research and exploration for the well-being of mankind. Our full-time students may not be making big discoveries, but they will be able to tell you the sense of joy and achievement they get from research studies they do with their own hands,' said Prof. Ho Kin-chung, a red tide scientist and the School's Acting Dean. Besides the existing programmes, the School will offer a new three-year honours degree programme in computing through JUPAS this year for the first time.
