Making a Donation

The OUHK has had to achieve financial self-sufficiency since 1993. Except for individual non-recurring expenses, it does not receive funding from the Government. In spite of limited resources, the University commits itself to providing quality, flexible higher education and promoting lifelong learning.
Donations from the community have a vital role in the University's development. Thanks to external sponsorships, the OUHK has been able to acquire more facilities, develop new courses, strengthen student support and increase research capacities.

Continuing education holds the key to Hong Kong's future. The OUHK wishes to work together with the community in enhancing the quality of our human resource.

Donation acknowledgement

In sincere appreciation of their generous support, donors will be honoured as "Partners in Learning" of the Open University of Hong Kong. Their donations will be acknowledged in the University's Openlink newsletter, Annual Report and Honour Roll. Donors will also receive thank you letters, donation receipts and sponsorship reports. All donations are tax deductible.

The OUHK welcomes naming of facilities, professorships, fellowships, scholarships and bursaries, research projects and academic programmes by donations. For further details, please contact the Public Affairs Unit at tel: 2768-6366, fax: 2789-0323 or email: pau@ouhk.edu.hk.
