The Open University of Hong Kong has been self-financing since 1993. To maintain a healthy financial position and explore resources for educational development, the Partners-in-Learning programme was launched in the same year to raise funds for various projects and developments, such as campus facilities, education technology, student financial assistance and mainland initiatives, etc. The wide support from the community has so far generated more than HK$520 million in donations.
